Nobel Laureate in Chemistry visited Russia with lectures

Arieh Warshel, laureate of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2013 for "the development of multiscale models for complex chemical systems", had made his first visit in Russia to take part in the Forum unifying the 5th Physiological Congress of CIS and 5th Congress of the Russian Biochemical Society (Dagomys, Sochi, October 4-9, 2016). Professor Warshel had gone by invitation of corresponding member of the RAS, deputy sci-director of the IBCh RAS Alexander Gabibov.

Nobel Laureate Arieh Warshel, who got the Prize together with Michael Levitt and Martin Karplus, come to Russia by invitation of corresponding member of the RAS, deputy sci-director of the IBCh RAS Alexander Gabibov, to take part in the Forum unifying the 5th Physiological Congress of CIS and 5th Congress of the Russian Biochemical Society (Dagomys, Sochi, October 4-9, 2016). Arieh Warshel lectured on the opening of the Forum with the lecture "How to model the action of complex biological systems and to advance molecular medicine" and also he took part in other scientific Forum events.

During his visit in Russia professor Warshel visited "Biocad" biotechnology company in Saint-Petersburg and educational center "Sirius" in Sochi where young fellow worker of the IBCh RAS organized a biological session. In the "Sirius" center professor Warshel lectured together with Alexander Gabibov for talented pupils.
