Analysis of individual repertoires of T cell receptors
Each of the T-lymphocyte carries on its surface molecules of T-cell receptor (T cell receptor, TCR) that can recognize foreign antigens and protect the body from infection or cancer. The diversity of the TCR repertoire largely determines the effectiveness of immune protection and the range of recognized antigens. Moreover, individual TCR repertoire contains a potentially human-readable information about the effectiveness of previous vaccination, the implications of immunotherapy, as well as the presence and dynamics of diseases. We will talk about how modern technologies of massive sequencing of TCR repertoires may be useful today-for fundamental immunology and biomedical research, and tomorrow-for the clinical practice.
