Neuroprotective activity of the (60-76) rage fragment and its protected analogue in tg animal model of Alzheimer’s disease
The receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) is considered as one of the perspective molecular target for the AD therapy. Earlier authors demonstrated that intranasal administration of synthetic fragment RAGE (60-76) to olfactory bulbectomized mice with Alzheimer-like neurodegeneration caused the preservation of spatial memory of animals. The aim of this work is comparison of ability of peptide (60-76) and its protected analogue Ас-(60-76)-NH2 to restore spatial memory of transgenic 5хFAD mice.
