Nadya Pletneva won the L'Oréal-UNESCO Award for Women in Science

Our congratulations to Nadya and her coworkers on this remarkable achievement! The award aims to improve the position of women in science by recognizing outstanding women researchers.

The award committee announced their decision on October 16, 2014. The winners of the national L'Oréal-UNESCO award for young Russian women scientists were selected. The award ceremony was held in the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts on November 24.

The award is a result of a partnership between the French cosmetics company L'Oréal and UNESCO. The program "For Women in Science" is active in Russia since 2007, with the participation of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, and the UNESCO Office in Moscow and is part of the international L'OREAL-UNESCO "For Women in Science".
